3 screening tests + 50 min consult + written recommendations
THIS PACKAGE IS COMPLETED ONLINE
Do you think you may suffer from low self-esteem? Low self-esteem is often misunderstood, even misdiagnosed as a secondary concern, rather than being treated as the cause of many emotional, psychological, and social issues.
Self-esteem, sometimes referred to as self-worth or self-respect, is an important psychological resource and factor for success and life satisfaction. Having low self-esteem is associated with feeling defeated or depressed and can lead to bad choices and putting up with destructive or unhealthy relationships. On the other hand, too much self-esteem can also be a problem, resulting in an inability to empathise with others and being over dominating.
Psychology Melbourne’s Self-Esteem Screener can help you identify whether you suffer from low (or high) self-esteem and how this could be impacting other aspects of your life.
What is included in the Self-Esteem Screener?
The online Self-Esteem Screener is conducted by a few of our experienced psychologists with experience in self-esteem and psychological concerns. These psychologists are clinical, endorsed, and general psychologists.
The Screener Includes:
- A 50-min online clinical consultation.
- 3 screening tests to ensure clear results of concern.
- Recommendations for further testing or support needs.
During the session your psychologist will:
- Take a full clinical history.
- Give you feedback on your test results.
- Provide recommendations for further testing or support needs.
How does it work?
Once you have purchased the Self-Esteem Screener, reception will contact you to arrange an appointment time. Prior to your consultation, you will be sent some forms to fill in as well as up to 4 online screening tests, which will automatically be sent back to us once completed. You will need to return these forms and send back 48 hours prior to your consultation.
Your psychologist will review the test results prior to your session.
You will be sent four online psychological tests before your first session to fill in under strict test conditions.
Online Testing
You will be sent several online tests during the assessment process that have between 20 – 170 multiple choice questions. They are easy to fill in, but it is important that you follow our test conditions to get the most accurate results.
How to follow test conditions
- Complete every question in one sitting.
- Fill them in alone and in one sitting– you can share later.
- Do not be distracted by watching TV or talking to anyone else.
- Be honest as this will help validate your results.
If you have any questions or concerns about the screener, you can speak to the Reception team on 1300 161 639, email us at assessments@psychologymelbourne.com.au or use the chat box on our website.
