Are you feeling unsure about your marriage or relationship? Are you finding that you and your partner are spending less quality time together or your communication just isn’t what it used to be?
Successful relationships sometimes require full attention, and seeking counselling can be the first step in sorting through any problems you may have. If you’re feeling uncertain about your relationship, our Relationship Health Screener is a good first set in deciding whether counselling might help.
Up to 3 screening tests are used to assess your relationship satisfaction, and other key areas that contribute to a fulfilling and healthy marriage or relationship.
Psychology Melbourne's team of relationship experts work with singles, couples and families of all ages, nationalities, and gender identities. Our psychologists can deal with every stage of a partnership from pre-marriage to post-natal and parenting challenges of children and teenagers as well as the empty next stage and post-retirement stages.
Our team can help you develop more positive communication and address emotional issues, sort out domestic battles, and/or help you separate well if required. This screener will help you decide which way to go.
What is included in the Relationship Health Screener?
The online Relationship Health Screener is conducted by a select few of our experienced psychologists with specific experience in couples therapy and relationship/marriage issues. These psychologists are clinical, endorsed, and general psychologists.

- 3 screening tests to ensure clear results of concern.
- Recommendations for further testing or support needs.
During the session your psychologist will:
- Take a full clinical history.
- Give you feedback on your test results.
- Provide recommendations for further testing or support needs.
How does it work?
Once you have purchased the Relationship Health Screener, reception will contact you to arrange an appointment time. Prior to your consultation, you will be sent some forms to fill in as well as up to 4 online screening tests, which will automatically be sent back to us once completed. You will need to return these forms and send back 48 hours prior to your consultation.
Your psychologist will review the test results prior to your session.
You will be sent three online psychological tests before your first session to fill in under strict test conditions.
Online Testing
You will be sent several online tests during the assessment process that have between 20 – 170 multiple choice questions. They are easy to fill in, but it is important that you follow our test conditions to get the most accurate results.
How to follow test conditions
- Complete every question in one sitting.
- Fill them in alone and in one sitting– you can share later.
- Do not be distracted by watching TV or talking to anyone else.
- Be honest as this will help validate your results.
If you have any questions or concerns about the screener, you can speak to the Reception team on 1300 161 639, email us at assessments@psychologymelbourne.com.au or use the chat box on our website.
