EMDR Reprocessing
EMDR therapy is a highly effective mental health technique for dealing with PTSD. It based on the adaptive information processing model using bilateral stimulation - usually visually by moving one’s eyes in a specific way - to create new neural connections in the brain.
You can purchase the EMDR Reprocessing package once you have completed the EMDR Assessment package, or with a psychologist’s approval.
The full EMDR therapy treatment is an eight-phase program for treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) that can be delivered in two stages:
Assessment
- Phase 1: Review of online screening tests and history-taking
- Phase 2: Preparing the client
- Phase 3: Assessing the target memory
Reprocessing
- Phase 4-7: Processing the memory to adaptive resolution
- Phase 8: Evaluating treatment results.
Please note:
- Extra sessions to Stage 1 or Stage 2 may be required by the psychologist depending on your progress.

What is EMDR Therapy?
EMDR therapy is a highly effective mental health technique for dealing with PTSD. It based on the adaptive information processing model using bilateral stimulation - usually visually by moving one’s eyes in a specific way - to create new neural connections in the brain.
It can be an alternative treatment to medication, such as Prozac, and does not include extended exposure to the distressing memories or detailed descriptions of the trauma.
EMDR therapy is also effective in treating disorders such as OCD, chronic pain, addictions, and other distressing life experiences such as:
- child abuse, sexual abuse, and rape
- self-harming behaviours in response to a trauma
- occupational stress such as for police officers and military personnel
- substance misuse, such as excess drinking or drug use
