Has anyone ever asked you if you may have dyslexia? You may have been tested when you were younger, but a diagnosis was not confirmed. Maybe you’ve wondered to yourself but are not sure where to start. The only way to know is to see a registered psychologist or mental health specialist.
Dyslexia is a specific learning disorder that is characterised by difficulties reading, forming words correctly and slow processing of spoken or written language. Individuals with Dyslexia often have problems with reading, writing, memorising, or spelling. This can have a large impact on studies, social life, and work.
Our Dyslexia Screener will identify the type of dyslexia symptoms you may have, provide you with a diagnosis and make recommendations for future support.
What is included in the Dyslexia Screener?
The Dyslexia Screener includes a 30-minute online consultation with one of our experienced testing psychologists. The psychologists who conduct this screening are health, educational and developmental psychologists with a broad knowledge of and experience with learning disorders.
The Dyslexia package Includes:
- A 30-minute online consultations
- Two screening tests
- Recommendations for further testing or support needs
How does it work?
Prior to the session you will be emailed two screening tests to fill out online, which will automatically be sent back to us. Your psychologist will review the tests prior to your session.
During your session they will:
- Give you feedback on your results
- Take a brief background history of your learning difficulties
- Make recommendations for future treatment such as further testing if required or suggest other support needs.
Once you have purchased the Dyslexia Screener, reception will contact you to arrange an appointment time. Prior to your consultation, you will be sent some forms to fill in as well as two online screening tests.
